How do PV solar panels save energy?
The panels create electricity in daylight hours and even more when the sun is shining. You can use the electricity you generate to heat your home and then sell any remaining electricity to your local electricity company. You should be able to generate approximately one third of the electricity you use annually. You can also claim feed in tariffs (fit's) which are paid to you for producing the electricity.
How much can I earn for fitting the panels?
In addition to the free electricity and the fee for selling the power back to the grid. You will be paid an inflation proof fee for 25 years meaning that you will cover your investment in less than 10 years and will make a profit in the following years - all tax free!
Who pays for the fit's?
We all pay but only those fitting panels will benefit. Everyone will pay more for their electricity to fund these payouts to those who fit panels and other green technologies.
Can I benefit from fitting panels?
The good news is that if panels can be fitted to your building you will benefit from generating green energy for your own use and claim the feed in tariff.
Is there any ongoing cost for maintaining the panels?
There are no moving parts and most of the equipment is guaranteed for at least 10 years so there is little that can go wrong. An annual inspection verity that everything is working is all that is required and this can be undertaken by Steadfast.
